Great landscapers keep portfolios of their past work so that you can see what kind of design they apply on their jobs. Some of that will be the owner's vision but a lot of landscapers have a style that they tend to stick to. This works well for them and their customers because everyone involved is getting a specialty and doing what they do best. If you love what you see from a prospective landscaper, talk with them about what you want and see if their talents match up well with your vision. It can be a pleasant experience for all around when you find a landscaper who is great at both customer service and the physical design and labor that comes with landscaping for you.
